Opening up

I've never written a blog before, or much of anything for that matter. I have a really nice leather bound journal that I wrote in daily a couple years ago while courting my wife. But then I moved back to the States to be closer to her, having popped the question, and I wrote quite a bit less, since I could just tell her everything I was thinking. Then I became an employed engineer (again) and a husband (first and only time), and I spend all my time as one of the other and not much as a writer.
We spend a lot of our time as a couple cooking, since that's a hobby we share. And I spend time at the office working, time in the shower engineering (all good ideas start there), and most of my interesting reading takes place ..., well you know.
So I thought I would open a blog to have a place to write. To try out the whole blog thing. And to not always have to note my million dollar ideas in my company logbook.
I'm probably not much of a writer; I'm not sure this first post even makes sense. But then it does'nt really matter much. Its a blog.
